How TechMap Live works
TechMap Live is a free real-time map of technology events reported by the press. It works through a rotating list of 72 public tech news feeds, reading a slice of them every five minutes, and a language model extracts the developments that can be tied to a specific place — an AI model release, a rocket launch, a chip factory, a funding round, a data breach — and plots each one at its company's headquarters, launch site or venue.
Every pin links to the original report. Nothing here is original journalism: this is an index of what technology news organisations have published, arranged on a map so patterns are visible at a glance — where the money is flowing, where the launches are happening, where the breaches are landing.
It is not insider information and not investment advice. Locations are estimated by a model from the wording of an article and can be wrong — a company's headquarters stands in for events that happened in software. Reports arrive minutes to hours after the event. Always read the original article before relying on anything here.
